The Compac 27 was built in the traditional Hutchins style and was introduced in 1986 and still remains in production today. "Cuba Libre" has been meticulously maintained by her current owners and has had a series of upgrades in the past few years. This easily handled sloop rig features a mainsail and a roller furling headsail both of which were new in the last two years. Both sails are very lightly used. The Compac 27 has a large cockpit of about 6'10" with huge and deep port and starboard lockers, pedestal steering, self tailing winches, fresh water shower and a bimini. Wide decks and cabin top provide plenty of room for sun bathing.
The interior is surprisingly large with 6'2" headroom, five berths and a large enclosed head with shower. Full yet compact galley, bulkhead mounted table, hanging locker and ample storage space to satisfy the needs of a cruising family. Two large hatches and eight opening bronze ports ensure ample ventilation and a bright, airy atmosphere below.
Powered by a two cylinder, fresh water cooled 12 HP Universal diesel engine. Great electronics.
